Hi there from snowy scotland. The snow is melting, but thankfully our ice capades stay solid until someone set light to them.
Apart from that, I am concentrating on still updating the site to add as many of the products that are popular at fairs as possible. The chunks are on, although still only in one size at the moment. If you do want a larger one, then contact me directly on admin@scentedpillarcandles.co.uk and I will sort out the price for you.
The chunk colours at the moment are the standard colours and I am sorry to say that in the moving over of folders and documents, that I have lost the best picture of those that I had available so the ones up on the site are not the best ones, but give an indication of how they actually look. I promise I will get more added to the site soon. I am considering adding a tailored choice of chunk colours for my customers, but there does not seem to be much demand for it as yet. Time will tell and what you ask for, I try to provide when I can.
The chunk colours tend to be what you are familiar with, ie yellow for vanilla, red for cinnamon, spicy and cherry, mostly blue for fresh, clean and baby powder type scents, green for earthy type scents and lavender, purples etc for some florals. If you would prefer specific colours, then you only have to ask.
I am looking forward to getting back to making some of these lovely candles as they seem to have been on the backburner for the more popular rustics at the moment. Hopefully that changes, as they are lovely candles to look at and as they are a challenge to make they are so much fun.

Just an update to the testing for ice capades.
It has proved a success for this novelty candle.
As it is a novely candle, the method of burning will differ from regular pillar candles. The burnable candle will have a solid core which will be the burnable part of the candle. The outer wax, will however have some drippage and melt as would be expected with an ice candle which is full of designer holes. Because of this, although it is burnable, it will need to be burned on a plate that is capable of catching excess wax which falls from the candle. A regular small pillar plate would not be appropriate.
The burn is beautiful and glows through the candle as it burns down the centre. You would need a long handled lighter for relights as each burn would have the candle moving further into the outer shell of the candle.
The website will have the full update in the next month, but any customers wanting to have their ice capades infused with an inner core in the meantime is welcome to ask for it to be included at the same price as the air fresheners.
Enjoy these wonderful candles.

Our product base is now all moved over - and with a few products still to be added, I am confident that all our most popular products are now online and up for sale.
The order process will be slightly different as it is a different cart, but the security is still the same for your card details. As a reminder for everyone, for security reasons, I do not allow my cards to remember credit card details from customers, and each purchase requires your details to be entered. This can be tedious, but it is for your safety.
Up in Aberdeen, the snow has been falling hard and it has been a weekend of sledging and abandoned cars. Perfect weather for candle burning and my own home has been full of lovely smells to keep a cozy atmosphere going.
Bye for now from snowy ABZ

I have updated the fragrance list on the melts pages at http://www.scentedpillarcandles.co.uk/waxmelts.htm
I have also updated some of our pillars to include a wider variety of florals as you asked for. It will soon be as wide a choice as the wax melts.
Thats it for now peeps. Stay safe, warm and dry.

Evening everyone. Well, it seems like the world has stopped turning with the arrival of all this snow up and down the country. Although our posties and couriers up here in rainy Aberdeen are accepting post, it seems to be not so easy for delivery drivers at the other end to get them out to those of you who are eagerly awaiting your parcels and living under a foot of snow.
For those of you who have had notification that they are on their way – they will get there when your streets are cleared and the vans are out and about again.

Our domain name www.cinnamonchic.co.uk now points to the new domain at www.scentedpillarcandles.co.uk. All customers from the old hosting sites will be forwarded on to the new hosting site. Please be reassured that we are still the same, just getting more organised to be able to work more efficiently in the future.
We look forward to seeing you all in our new home and our site is taking orders, even though the old TO one has not yet transferred. We only have one more host to move over and everything will be in one place.
Our old retail host domain which was www.tranquiloasis.co.uk. With the wholesale www.cinnamonchic.co.uk move nearly completely finished, and with most products uploaded, it won’t be long before we completely move over the retail side and close down the old host there. A lot of the work has already been done and just some more products to be added before the final transfer.
Hopefully this should give us a more streamlined process with both sections being pulled together in one place.

Hi and welcome.
The majority of the products on these pages are handcrafted in Scotland,
and made fresh to order by your independent candlemaker. I use both paraffin and soy wax in the making of my candles and use the finest, high quality scents (mainly from the US).
The aim of my candlemaking is to make candles that you can really, really smell when you walk in the room. It is difficult to find pillars that give you that “wow” factor and that’s why I specialise in making them.
I use base products that are harsh chemical free, (no sls in soaps), and add fragrance and colour.
I NEVER use animals for products or testing.
Where possible, I try to get all orders out within 7 – 14 days (often faster). At busy times it may be slightly longer. Please contact me about my current turn around times if you need your candles more quickly.
My candles are hand mixed to my own special recipe, and handpoured. As they are made by a real person, and not a machine, which sometimes means there can be some shade variations between batches. This just adds to the charm of candles made specially for you.
NEW FOR JANUARY – ICE CAPADES – PILLAR AIR FRESHENERS
My current range of ice candles are very strongly scented, decorative air fresheners. I am also testing burnable cores so watch this space for more updates.
Also see my newly added “squares”. Just gorgeous, scented square candles.

Hi there everyone. We are updating soon and the new website is now almost complete. A few more products to be added and I am sure you will agree that it is much more professional looking in its content. We are doing away with our two outmoded websites and creating one which will be the mainstay of our business and will be there to remain. Yes, we know we start again with a new web address and lower search engine listings, but we think it is important that we come together and then work as one entity.
If you want a sneak peek – you can see it here at http://www.scentedpillarcandles.co.uk
As yet, it still needs soap and wholesale products to be added, but these can still be bought at]
http://www.cinnamonchic.co.uk for the moment. Eventually the cinnamon chic name will forward to the new site, but there may be a period where the transfer takes place of about a week where we will lose some service. Not to worry as we will post in plenty of time before it actually happens.
Looking forward to seeing some of you on our new site if the products you are looking for are already over there.
Thats it for today. Next post soon.
